Current Exhibitions
They've got some hands-on exhibitions which are quite good fun. There's one about engineering where you can try solving problems, which is harder than it sounds. The Information Age exhibition is interesting if you're into technology. And there's a VR experience where you can 'go' to the International Space Station, which is pretty cool.
Dates: Year-round
Permanent Highlights
The Apollo 10 command module is here, which is pretty amazing to see in person. Stephenson's Rocket is there too - it changed everything about trains. They've got the first jet engine as well. The medical section is quite interesting, showing how things like X-rays and MRI scanners work.
Collection Types
It covers all sorts of science and technology stuff. There's transport from horse-drawn carriages to modern cars, medical equipment, energy stuff. It's quite educational but in a fun way. The space section is particularly good if you're into that kind of thing.
